Pros

All colleagues, whether long-time employees or newcomers, are very easy to get along with. If former employees who still keep in touch got together, we could form the Avengers.

Cons

1. Labor and health insurance are reported at the minimum wage. When you raise questions about it, everyone is called into a meeting to explain that you can increase your insured salary coverage yourself when you are close to retirement. (I don't know whether this has been improved now, but it originally violated the Labor Standards Act.)

2. The boss's mood is volatile and temperamental. When something displeases him, he starts yelling—the kind of yelling that is extremely offensive. He really likes berating (and humiliating) people in public, then later says it was for their education.

3. He loves painting overly rosy pictures and making empty promises. Although they may eventually be fulfilled, it definitely will not happen while you are still employed there.

4. Bonuses sound good in theory, but there are no relevant rules or regulations. There is supposedly an employee handbook (inside the boss's head), but no one has ever seen or heard of it.

5. Overtime is the norm (not at the company, because they want to save electricity). The so-called project production schedule is something the boss says must be followed, but the person who usually disrupts the system is the boss himself. All he says is, “I'm the boss, so what I say goes.”

6. There is an extremely strong obsession with educational credentials and favoritism: higher education equals higher pay, while even employees with lower educational qualifications who have stayed for a long time may still earn much less than newly hired employees with higher qualifications. People who agree with everything the boss says are more likely to earn his favor and be entrusted with important work. The boss acts like he is very close to the subordinates he likes, calling them brothers.

7. The boss really likes monitoring what employees are doing. Every now and then, he walks around to look at their computer screens.
