During the interview, they unintentionally revealed infighting within the department and kept asking whether I could travel abroad for work. I asked how long the trips would last, and the answer was six months at a time!!!! I heard that right—six months! Under the pretext of having projects overseas, they expect new hires to be able to go on long-term business trips, while offering only a salary in the low 40,000s, which is not even a managerial-level salary. They can't afford to pay an overseas assignment allowance.
