大億交通工業製造股份有限公司
Pros

University graduates start at around 33K

Overtime pay complies with the Labor Standards Act

High travel allowances: USD 68 per day in North America and USD 45 per day in mainland China (meals during business trips are self-funded)

The office atmosphere is relatively harmonious

Cons

You may spend up to nine months a year in mainland China. When traveling for business, whether to North America or mainland China, working more than 75 hours of overtime per month is considered normal.

Salary adjustments are extremely slow. I once saw someone who had worked there for over ten years earning about the same as me. (The company basically expects you to make money by going on business trips.)

The company strongly encourages overtime, and working on Saturdays is a common occurrence.

There are many relatives of senior executives. In this family-run business, knowing how to drink and flatter the higher-ups is the fastest way to get promoted.

Lots of meaningless 5S tasks.

The company's personnel system is incomplete, and departments may be reassigned arbitrarily. This also means you may be sent on business trips elsewhere, contrary to what was stated during the interview.

Turnover in the R&D department is extremely high. You can hardly see anyone at the mid-level; there are only many newcomers and veterans, and the newcomers come and go, with roughly one rotation every year or so.

Training takes place outside working hours, and there is no overtime pay.

The company works with a Japanese company, so it is difficult for it to go under—but that does not mean you will not be forced to resign.
