The department manager was quite easy to talk to and directly told me during the interview that they hoped to hire me. They also explained the job responsibilities in great detail.
The HR representative was also very honest, saying that the manager wanted to hire me, but that the salary the company could offer differed greatly from my expectations. They also said that the company did not really offer any benefits. Very candid.
After I passed the first interview, HR said I would receive an aptitude test by email after returning home, and that the next step would be an interview with a senior executive.
However, two or three weeks after I completed the aptitude test, I suddenly received an email from HR saying that I had not been selected. So what exactly was the first interviewer telling me?
