This company looks respectable on the surface.
Here is an personally embarrassing experience I had with Shih Te: I was hired on the day of my interview at Shih Te, and Shih Te immediately sent me a report-for-duty notice (with the start date set for the following month). A few weeks later, Shih Te’s HR called me and gave some utterly unbelievable reasons, the gist of which was that they wanted me to cancel my start date!!! So that very day, I immediately wrote to 104 to explain that this dishonest, terrible company would be permanently blacklisted by me, and that no one should ever be deceived and victimized again!!! Below is what I wrote to 104~~~~~
I have posted my résumé on 104 and have long been a loyal supporter of the platform. Fortunately, while I was still employed by my previous company, I received a notice from Shih Te last month inviting me to an interview. I went to the interview at the mutually agreed time and was hired that same day after the interview (the salary and other conditions had all been agreed upon). We agreed that I would report to the company on a certain date the following month; I had explained in advance that I needed to complete a proper handover at my previous job first. Unexpectedly, today the company’s HR representative called and notified me, using an utterly unbelievable reason, that I should postpone my start date (when I pressed for clarification, HR stated that the offer was actually being withdrawn)!!
In fact, after receiving the offer last month (Shih Te officially notified me by email that same day, and I immediately replied that I would report for duty as agreed), I promptly resigned from my previous company. At Shih Te’s request, I also completed preparations such as the pre-employment health examination before my start date. Even worse, during this period I successively turned down interview opportunities with other companies. How am I supposed to protect my rights and interests when faced with such a terrible company that shows no regard for integrity?! Should I publicly expose its reprehensible conduct online, file a complaint, or........... I would greatly appreciate a prompt reply!!
