Office staff have a great deal of flexibility in their work, but there are not many office employees. The technical and process supervisors have extensive professional knowledge and problem-solving abilities, but no authority.
The boss is an equipment repair technician and knows nothing about systems management, yet insists on holding power. Employees are scolded and have their performance ratings docked when they make mistakes. When the boss messes things up, he runs off and hides outside, leaving employees to clean up the mess. Any improvements have to be spun into a story by Quality Assurance for customers. Salary and benefits are very average because everything goes into the boss’s pocket. Not recommended.
