HR proactively called and emailed multiple times to arrange the interview
The outcome was probably the most disastrous interview I’ve ever had~
At the beginning, they didn’t say there would be an English test. After arriving, I had to answer a large number of TOEIC-like questions, and my results that day were not ideal, so I was subjected to some sarcastic and cold remarks. The PM position at this company requires directly facing overseas clients and chairing meetings, so they place great importance on English. I was also criticized for graduating from a non-engineering department (but isn’t that because HR strongly encouraged me to apply in the first place?). If the position was restricted to certain majors, they shouldn’t have wasted my time by inviting me to interview... I found it very baffling at the time!
The main interviewer asked many questions. Whenever they felt that my answer wasn’t what they wanted, they would ask the same question several times... (finally making an expression like, “Oh my~ How could this be?”). It actually felt terrible, but I still politely put on a smile and ended an unpleasant interview.
