The work environment feels quite unstable
They proactively sent interview invitations through different job application websites, but the positions were different—one was for video editing and the other for program planning. They did not respond when I emailed to ask about it, but the next day the company sent another interview invitation through 104.
I called to ask what was going on. The person who answered replied, “So, what can you do?” Still, I went ahead and scheduled an interview...
I arrived early on the day of the interview and was interviewed at the same time as another applicant. On the phone, they said that the director conducted interviews at a fixed time of 4 p.m. every afternoon. Later, I found out that there were interviews almost every day (the turnover rate must be very high).
When 4 p.m. arrived, the other applicant and I were still sitting there waiting. People in the office were vaguely discussing things like, “Does the director know someone is coming for an interview today?” and “Has the director not come back yet?” This made me feel that the interview was not being taken seriously. Later, another employee conducted the interviews first, and the other applicant and I were interviewed separately, one-on-one.
The interview consisted mostly of basic questions and asking about my desired salary. The interviewer only asked a few additional questions and recorded the information. Also, you had to bring your own résumé. Although bringing a résumé should be standard, even after interviewing with quite a few companies, most would print out the résumé information entered on the job application website. However, this company seemed to have no idea how many people were scheduled for interviews that day. In any case, the director eventually showed up, briefly looked over my résumé, and asked only a few questions:
“Do you want to work here?” “What salary are you hoping for?” “Can you start work next Monday?”
Then they did not ask anything else in particular and sent me on my way. (I heard the other applicant being asked the same three questions.)
