The interview opportunity came through 104 Job Bank.
I had already arranged to take the day off for the interview. When I was almost at the location, I called first to politely inform them and confirm.
As a result, they said the manager was out and unable to conduct the interview. Shouldn't you have told me earlier? How could you wait until I arrived to say that the person was out? Isn't my time valuable too?
Later, they said they wanted to schedule a second interview, but once again, I was the one who proactively called to confirm whether it was still happening.
Second interview
At first, I took a written test that was not worth mentioning.
Then they began explaining the job duties.
The first month is unpaid—you have to undergo a month of training. Isn't that outrageous? Learning your company's material only benefits your own technology, yet you openly violate the Labor Standards Act.
The training location is in Taichung, and dormitory accommodation is provided. But the arrangements for traveling between the dormitory and the training location were even more ridiculous: they said I should ask a colleague to help by scooter. I didn't mishear—it was a scooter, a scooter, a scooter.
I was completely speechless. Why should I have to ride a dangerous scooter to attend training at your company?
In addition, they require employees to be on duty. The overnight shift requires staying at the company on standby, but the working hours are 12 hours. This is simply taking advantage of people.
The reason for the 12-hour shift is that they think it is easier at night, so they require employees to be on duty for an extra four hours. If you don't even value your own work, why should I choose your company?
