桔禾創意整合有限公司
Pros

1. The company presents a good image to outsiders.

2. There are many types of projects to work on.

3. Colleagues get along well.

I’ve heard that the company is undergoing a transformation. Those who have hopes for this company may want to do some more research.

Cons

1. The internal organizational structure is unclear, often making it difficult to know whom to approach for discussion or information. Many important points about a project are not mentioned in the initial brief (and sometimes it is impossible to know the key points of a design project before having to start work). Designers are often not informed until the middle or later stages of a project, so the process is frequently inefficient.

2. To be clear, the front end is unprofessional (account management/project management/copywriting). There are many things they do not tell you in advance in the brief, and you have to draw the information out of them bit by bit. The style, direction, and materials all have to be proactively requested by the design team before the information is gradually filled in. In addition, there is rarely complete documentation beyond the brief. Briefs are often given verbally, with hard copies or electronic files provided only occasionally. Projects can leave you unsure where to begin, yet you are still expected to start working.

3. The projects are overly diverse, and there are quite a few miscellaneous tasks. The work may include graphic design, exhibition design/compositing, packaging design, display fixture design, photography, attending lectures as an audience member, and working at events. However, it is impossible to say which type makes up the largest proportion, as it depends on the projects taken on during that period. For those who want to seriously pursue graphic design or industrial design, be mentally prepared that you may not necessarily be able to develop your professional skills (or, more precisely, you may not do so often).

4. With one phone call, a design project may be changed at a moment’s notice, or you may be told about the requirements in the morning and expected to produce the work by the afternoon. You will also often do work for nothing (the “extensive” front-end problems).

5. The company cannot retain its employees.
