● I previously served as a substitute R&D serviceman at Quanta Research Institute (2010–2014) as a software engineer. I stayed for about three and a half years. The work atmosphere was quite good, and it was a relatively free department. The colleagues were all around the same age.

● Quanta treats its employees fairly well. The lunch is good, and life after work is quite fulfilling, with many club activities and occasional cultural and artistic performances.

● Large-company bureaucracy: if there is competition between teams, they are very likely to refuse to help each other, even when working on the same thing.

● Managers may not necessarily be willing to let you participate in company activities.

● Managers like you to work very long overtime hours, even if you are just slacking off.

● Quanta is ultimately still a hardware company and is not particularly friendly toward software engineers, especially when the manager does not understand software.

● The pay is mediocre.
