There is hot tea.
You are required to print your own résumé from 104 Job Bank. After arriving, regardless of the position you applied for, everyone first went into a room to complete what was essentially a personality analysis questionnaire—simple checkboxes. Then they started calling people in batches of three or four. I imagine most people were applying for sales positions.
Next were the copywriting applicants, only a handful, because copywriting had a separate set of questions to complete. This did not seem very fair to me, since those who arrived early had more time to finish, while those who arrived on time were actually disadvantaged?
After going in, the interviewer said that this was only the first stage, just to get an initial look at everyone’s basic conversational ability.
We each introduced ourselves and talked about our work experience. There were not many other questions. Then she asked which countries we had visited and whether we had traveled independently or with a tour group.
Three people went in together, and the whole thing took only 10 minutes........
There was absolutely no introduction to the company, and they immediately announced that the interview was over, without giving us a chance to ask questions.
Overall, I did not have a very good impression.... I had spent 1.5 hours completing the earlier questions, only to have a 10-minute interview (an average of 3 minutes per person). Yet as a job seeker, I was unable to gain even a basic initial understanding of the company during the first interview.
