The company provides boxed lunches for NT$20 per person per meal. You can also go out for 30 minutes at noon.

Base salary plus overtime pay: approximately NT$110–130 per hour (overtime calculated according to the Labor Standards Act).

There is a small birthday cake, two days off per week, detailed pay statements, last month’s salary deposited on the 6th of each month, no delayed wages, and a low hiring threshold.

The food factory is in Dounan, Yunlin. Typhoon days may be deducted from annual leave or pay. Raises are almost never given. Most employees receive only the minimum wage under the Labor Standards Act (the basic wage was approximately NT$21,000 in 2017). Daily wages are deducted when taking leave.

<<<Production Line Operator>>> The production line is noisy, the working environment is poor, and turnover is very high. Summer is the busy season, and the production line gets hot in summer. Safety is not taken seriously. There is a 40-minute lunch break at noon. Most employees are middle-aged or older. The year-end bonus is fixed at one month’s salary (only employees who have worked for one full year receive a year-end bonus). Production line supervisors earn approximately NT$24,000. There have been occupational accidents. The company has no on-site medical personnel. Machinery and equipment are old and frequently malfunction. Heavy lifting is required. Employees may have to purchase defective products. Equal pay is not provided for equal work. Labor and health insurance premiums are additionally deducted from the base salary. Foreign workers receive certain privileges. Most jobs involve rotation, and some positions require employees to start work early in the morning.

<<<Warehouse Order Picker>>> The warehouse is poorly ventilated. Sometimes lifting and moving goods is required. Tasks include applying labels and stickers. It is noisy, forklifts frequently come and go, and there is a lot of dust. Overtime pay is provided.
