The company follows the rules and provides all the required labor and health insurance. Overtime is also converted into compensatory leave hours (although since the implementation of the one fixed day off and one flexible rest day policy, there have been limits on the number of overtime hours; besides the store manager, you generally won’t have to work much overtime). The schedule won’t make you close the store one day and open it the next (unless they really can’t manage with the available staff).
The promotion system isn’t transparent (what’s the point of filling out performance evaluation forms if you don’t even know what they’re for?). It all depends on whether the people above you like you (although I don’t know whether all workplaces are like this).
Meal times are less fixed; whether you can eat when you’re hungry depends on whether there are enough staff in the store. Otherwise, it depends on the store manager’s management style.
