The company occupies a large area, and the HR staff are quite friendly.
I received a verbal offer a month ago. After that, I continued to interview more than five times through phone calls and scheduled meetings. At the end of each conversation, they clearly expressed, “You have already received a verbal offer,” “You can start preparing to move,” and “We look forward to having you start work on X/X.”
After the final phone conversation, they told me that the company would send the written offer before the end of the workday. However, in the afternoon, they called to tell me that my offer had been canceled due to an operational error?!?!
I completely felt that I had been treated like a fool and played for the past month. The time and money I spent, along with the cost of giving up offers from other companies, are difficult to estimate. This incident clearly reveals the deficiencies and inefficiency of the company’s administrative processes. I urge all job seekers to learn from my painful experience.
