With all due respect, 86 Shop’s marketing and sales performance one or two years ago was plain for all to see, and many beauty e-commerce businesses regarded 86 as their main competitor.

However, performance has continued to decline recently. I believe this is closely related to the loss of talent, problems within management, and a lack of focus in product marketing.

In this department, it is easy to observe that management problems have caused an extremely high staff turnover rate. This is because nearly everyone in the department who was capable and willing to speak the truth was transferred or dismissed in one way or another. Meaningless meetings, repeated reversals in product-marketing decisions, and a poor team atmosphere are also among the reasons.

Moreover, the hiring requirements are extremely demanding. I just checked the current job requirements; the following qualifications were copied and pasted directly from 104:

1. Interested in online livestreaming and able to host. (Execute the filming and production of livestream videos related to beauty, fashion, lifestyle, etc.)

2. Able to manage and coordinate communications on-site during online livestream productions, and able to write scripts.

3. Experience planning and executing online and social-media activities (familiar with operating blogs/forums, managing Facebook fan pages, BBS community marketing, online word-of-mouth, etc.), and able to implement online activities and track their results.

4. Highly creative, capable of planning special projects, passionate about online work, and willing to take on new challenges.

5. Able to provide makeup tutorials, beauty and skincare information, and write and edit content about beauty and skincare products.

In my opinion, people with this combination of skills are truly rare, yet the position is still only a marketing specialist.

As for the salary, anyone who has interviewed should be able to see for themselves, and it reflects how little the department values professional expertise.

When I joined, I only hoped to be able to walk proudly out of 86’s doors. Now, however, the situation is truly lamentable.
