I applied for their online marketing planning position.
Before scheduling the interview, this company sent several questions by email, saying it was to save time during the interview.
But it felt very much like a background investigation, which made me extremely uncomfortable.
The questions included:
Asking whether I am currently employed and, if so, by which company (Would an applicant really say?)
Asking whether I have any commuting issues (If there were a problem, I wouldn’t have applied.)
Asking why I left my previous company (They actually didn’t wait to ask this in the interview—what sincerity.)
Asking about my family members and whether I live with my family (Is this really important? This should be private.)
The rest were normal interview questions:
Asking how my previous supervisor would evaluate me
Asking about my biggest personal setback (This is an interview question.)
Asking about my strengths and weaknesses
Asking about my expectations and views regarding the new job
They sent out a whole batch of questions before even conducting the interview, as if they had very high standards. Are many people competing for this position?
Or is the company developing very well, with excellent compensation and benefits?
If the goal is to save time, wouldn’t it be faster to find a recruitment agency or headhunter?
