I don’t understand why you have to join the union to receive benefits such as the three seasonal gift bonuses, birthday bonus, employee travel allowance, and so on. It’s ridiculous that employees who don’t join the union get absolutely no benefits. Even worse, in recent years the company has cut the employee travel allowance in half, and then in half again! The birthday bonus was cut too! For such a large company, there isn’t even an annual company banquet; instead, funds are allocated to each group to go out for stir-fry. Oh, right… if you haven’t joined the union, you don’t receive any funding for the annual banquet either, so you can’t even eat stir-fry…
