Working at a store, whether you’re happy or not depends on the store manager. The manager often takes their anger out on others. If it weren’t for the poor workplace culture, I really think this job would be okay. The store manager is the biggest problem when it comes to the workplace culture, and because the manager is dissatisfied with the system and keeps changing it randomly, those of us below are also helpless. When the manager is in a bad mood, the people below suffer. However, the system really isn’t very good: it pressures our own people, with everyone pressuring the next person because of performance, from the top down. The requirements only keep getting higher. If performance is poor, there is less money; when there is less money, the supervisor is unhappy, pressuring everyone until they are all in a bad mood. There are more behind-the-scenes issues, but I don’t want to say too much.
