Pros

When the Hsinchu branch was newly established, employees were recruited. On the first day of work, the supervisor emphasized that any unpleasant issues should be reported directly, and then suddenly notified us on that very first day that we would have to go to Taipei for a month of training.

After the month of training, we were told that there would not be any work at the Hsinchu office until two months later, and employees were asked to take two months of unpaid leave while “being patient.”

Under semi-coercive circumstances, everyone had no choice but to accept the situation and foolishly wait for more than a month. Then, one day in the second month, the company called to notify us that the Hsinchu office was going to close. We had two days to decide whether to work in Taipei or voluntarily resign.

Everyone panicked and quickly asked the supervisor in the group chat, but this supervisor has still not given any response, and was even nowhere to be seen on the day we resigned. It is truly regrettable that such an irresponsible company has no channel through which everyone can make their experiences known. Our jobs disappeared for no apparent reason, and all we could do was swallow our disappointment and consider ourselves unlucky.

As for the E.SUN Bank salary-transfer account opened for this job, there is not much to say—we had not even used it yet! But while training in Taipei, we were also told to open an account with a certain bank. After filling in the information, it was apparently sold. For the sake of receiving our salaries, we still obediently opened the account and provided our personal information.

Two weeks after resigning, I received the company’s resignation notice, which honestly stated the employment start date and the two-month period of voluntary unpaid leave. And then? Nothing. They did not even send the notice confirming that I had been transferred out of the National Health Insurance system. When I called the company, I received the dismissive response that it would be mailed out a week later. Apparently, transferring out of National Health Insurance takes that long—I had thought I had not even been enrolled in the insurance!

To the colleagues I had arranged to have a New Year’s banquet with, I’m sorry, but we can no longer meet. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. For those who have not joined yet, stop and think it over carefully!
