At first, they will flatter you about the company, saying things like, “We at Sinyi believe in trust and integrity.” After the training, they will even give you a book devoted to praising the chairman.
Although the monthly salary is quite high—NT$50,000—the company basically works you to death: forcing you to attend a bunch of classes, read a lot of material, go out to do sales, become familiar with building managers, and so on.
Basically, they squeeze NT$50,000 worth of value out of you.
They promote group performance, but everyone still competes for sales. For example, when you turn on your computer, you may find several people pursuing the same case. There is no sense of mutual assistance at all; it feels more like a dog-eat-dog environment—brothers to your face, fighting over money behind your back.
The advertisements say that when you leave the company, you will receive another NT$50,000 as a job-transition counseling allowance.
But they will use various little tricks to keep you from receiving it, and they make deductions here and there. Filing a complaint with the company is, of course, useless.
Still, I did receive the base salary. You can only treat it as spending time to buy a lesson. If you are thinking of going, think it through carefully—NT$50,000 is definitely not that easy to earn.
