Basically, if you're considering applying for this position, I strongly advise you to think it through carefully. The entire department's SOPs are problematic, yet senior management keeps emphasizing that procedures must be followed. The constantly changing and repetitive processes make things very difficult for those carrying out the work! Overtime has become the norm because things are always changing faster than we can keep up with... You may manage to catch up with the schedule, only to be told at the last minute that the product needs to be changed, forcing you to start all over again! When you work overtime, you're asked why you work late so often; when you leave on time, people suspect that you have too little to do... All in all, unless you really enjoy working overtime, you should seriously think it over.
