I don’t know what things are like in the office; there’s a pile of bullshit on site.
Design changes don’t come with additional time or additional payment.
How is it possibly expected to be completed on time and to the required quality?
The year-end bonus is small, and there are few benefits. The Taipei office has high-end food at its monthly gatherings, while the central and southern offices just eat at roadside stalls. If the meal is too expensive, we even get criticized for spending too much.
For employee travel, there is an annual subsidy of NT$10,000 for trips abroad. If you don’t go, it is considered that you have waived the benefit.
Domestic trips are combined with training; even after attending, leave is deducted.
When the Labor Department comes to inspect attendance, we are also asked to cooperate by saying that there are no irregularities.
Being one minute late results in a one-dollar deduction. There is no overtime pay for working past 5:30 p.m., and we are also asked to tell the Labor Department that overtime pay is completely normal.
We are even asked to clock out at 5:30 p.m. and then continue working.
If you leave on time, you’re criticized for not being committed to the company. It’s outrageous.
