Mostly office hours, and the air conditioning is pretty nice.
On the very first day, the supervisor will say that he doesn’t trust computers and only trusts calculators and handwritten calculations.
All quantity calculations—from estimating the quantities of earthwork, formwork, rebar, and concrete—must be done “by hand.” You can use a computer for the process, but when turning it into a table, it has to be handwritten, along with the calculation formulas, of course!
When assigning tasks, he absolutely never explains all the key points at once. When you try to ask for more details, he brushes you off by saying: “Think for yourself. Look it up yourself.” Then, after you finish the assigned task, he suddenly tells you: “These numbers were adjusted and changed later. Redo a copy!”
Over and over again, the whole day is spent repeatedly doing things that he refused to explain completely in the first place. Hand-drawing the same table three to five times is basically standard. His ability to waste time is truly top-notch.
Another supervisor is also quite irresponsible. He tells you how to do something, but as soon as something goes wrong, he immediately distances himself completely. He’s on a whole other level when it comes to dodging responsibility!
