The interview repeatedly emphasized that the salary is low and the work is exhausting, while also requiring applicants not to ask for too high a salary. They kept criticizing you to your face for having a high salary, then went next door to discuss you after the interview. Because the office is small, applicants could hear the discussion through the partition. They criticized the applicant before the interview had even taken place, said the applicant’s smile was problematic, and even claimed, based on their own understanding of statistics, that the applicant was abnormal. They acted as though they were very capable and then harshly criticized the applicant, giving the impression that there would be workplace infighting.
