童畫世界藝術教育匯館
Pros

The children are very innocent, and the colleagues are very nice.

Cons

1. The course content is proposed and arranged collectively. Each semester, everyone is given a blank lesson plan to fill out and return. Three or four of them will be selected; the others amount to donated work for the studio. The selected lesson plans must be made into actual products. The necessary materials cannot be taken during the regular monthly meetings. In other words, you have to check whether the studio is open when you go to the kindergarten to teach, and then go pick them up. You also need to write a materials list for the staff member responsible for preparing supplies. Since it is difficult to estimate how much of something not yet made will be needed, you either have to buy the materials yourself if you find this too troublesome, although the studio still hopes you will use its materials as much as possible.

2. The supervisor required a trial lesson, but the studio was closed that day. When I called the supervisor, I only then found out that the studio was closed that day... [confused face]??? A few times, I rode all the way to the kindergarten for class only to find out that class was actually canceled that day. The round trip took an hour and a half by scooter. Why did it take so long? Because of the studio's arrangements: the farthest kindergarten may be 15 kilometers from your home.

3. They say you are volunteering to help decorate the kindergarten for holiday events and graduation ceremonies, but in reality it is mandatory unpaid overtime. Beforehand, you also have to ride to the studio to make props, and you are not allowed to take them home. This means that if you do not finish, and it is time for your kindergarten class again, you can only wait until the studio is open and ride your scooter there to finish the work.

4. At the beginning, they have you observe classes for a week. To be honest, this should be called a probationary period, but it is unpaid. This job does not provide labor insurance because it is not an employment relationship. A regular meeting is held at the studio once a month, and you are allowed to take leave only three times. Each semester (six months), there is also teacher training at the studio, which is effectively mandatory. If you attend, the course fee is deducted; if you do not attend, the course fee is still deducted. The quality of the instructors varies, and you cannot choose the training content.

5. Overall, this part-time job will take up a lot of your time. If you do not mind that, go ahead.
