What an interesting company. They called applicants in to try working at the warehouse first, paid an hourly wage for the trial work.
Quite a few people came that day, and we helped the company pack all the shipments that needed to go out. But before the end of the workday, the accountant said, “None of you are suitable. You can leave.”
Basically, they had too much work to finish and wanted to hire part-time workers, but didn’t want to provide labor and health insurance—is that just an excuse?
