Cons

1. The company claims that product managers need to have their own marketing strategies, but often points out the managers’ mistakes without providing clear direction when asked, then claims that this is the foreign education method: you have to find the answers yourself, and asking a few more questions is considered making excuses.

2. The boss has poor emotional management and has cursed and used the F-word in group messages (screenshots available as evidence).

3. The boss is an ABC. During the interview, he said that he could give employees a certain amount of time to adapt and learn, but in fact, two weeks after I started, he began comparing colleagues. He also directly said in front of female employees that he thought men were all useless. The boss once told another female colleague, “I’ve always thought men are full of shit.” This is highly sexist.

4. In e-commerce, performance is closely related to the performance of the product line you are assigned. If your product line is unprofitable and difficult to sell, that is still not considered an excuse—poor sales are all your fault. During my time there, the highest-earning colleague (according to other colleagues, one of the boss’s relatives) once gave me a product line whose revenue had been very low for about six months. As a newcomer, I could only silently accept it.

5. If you have any other questions, feel free to leave a comment and ask.

Comment:

When I was applying for the job, I had other, better offers, but I thought I could learn a lot by working with this boss, so I decisively chose this position. I am also grateful that they were willing to give me this opportunity. However, I believe that mutual respect is the most basic principle of how people should conduct themselves. If a company does not even understand something like this, there is no need to continue working there. Newcomers considering joining this company should think carefully.
