Newcomers should be careful during the interview. At first, they said the salary was 27K, but later they consistently paid less. Only after joining the company did they say that the 27K included perfect-attendance pay.
The recruitment website also said there would be commission bonuses, but they were only paid after I raised the issue.
They repeatedly miscalculated my salary for several months; it felt deliberate.
When I reported the underpayment to the boss, he only told me to talk to the accountant (the boss’s wife). The boss would just pretend not to hear me while standing nearby.
(Even after I raised the issue, they still did not pay the salary they initially promised. I had no evidence, and the boss simply played dumb.)
They say you are a designer, but because it is a small company, you will be ordered around to do various miscellaneous tasks:
Moving goods, counting inventory, maintaining machines, taking out the trash, cleaning the toilets, sweeping and mopping the floor, and folding clothes.
The boss wants to make money from everything. Whenever he feels like it, he will ask you to do some strange task.
He loves bragging about himself and dragging young customers into awkward chats where he lectures them.
They want to work with overseas companies but still criticize them for having poor quality.
The sales staff love accepting rush orders, and the entire boss’s family has very little respect for professional expertise.
The boss’s wife even once said: “This thing is simple, right? If I didn’t lack your software, I would have finished it very quickly.”
Even though she clearly did not know what a PNG file was.
In short, if you are thinking about coming here to work, I suggest you run away as quickly as possible. You will be so angry it will take years off your life.
The boss occasionally treats us to snacks in the afternoon.
The salary and benefits are extremely poor. Sometimes we still have to stay for meetings even after the scheduled end of the workday!
Being able to leave work on time is a joke.
No holiday bonuses and no year-end bonus.
We also have to work 10 hours a day!
The base salary is only a little over NT$20,000—what a joke~
It’s not that a salary of a little over NT$20,000 is unacceptable,
but at least the workload and professional requirements should also be limited to what a little over NT$20,000 warrants, right?
They only exploit people’s professional skills.
New hires should think twice before reporting for duty.
Two days off per week, leaving work on time, no overtime required, labor and health insurance provided, bonuses in addition to the base salary
No seasonal bonuses, no year-end bonus, starting salary of 24k with no opportunities for raises, maintaining the official website and knowing programming earns an additional 1k
