No labor or health insurance. The director is very arrogant and loves to boast, saying that he has more of everything and even more money, and that following him means enjoying the good life because he does not care about small amounts of money. But during the interview, the agreed monthly salary turned into an hourly wage of 160 on the first day of work? Where are the promised good times and not caring about small amounts of money?
The lady who is supposedly the assistant or secretary does not seem to do anything. Whenever I asked her, she would say nothing was needed, but a while later I would see the director asking me whether I needed the things he had requested. It ended with the director scolding that lady in front of me and scolding me as well.
The director would also come up with all sorts of strange questions to test you for no reason. After you spent a long time answering, the final answer would be one he had made up himself. He would put on a very self-important air and say, “Didn’t expect that, did you? This is the real answer.” It was completely ridiculous.
That lady told me to follow the director so I could be on standby at any time, but the director said, “Why follow me when there’s nothing to do? You should follow her instead.” He said I was supposed to learn the work from him, but when I went to follow that lady, he would then say that he did not need help and had nothing to teach me. The two of them each said something different, and I was kicked back and forth between them like a ball. If neither of them had anything to do or needed help, then what was the point of hiring someone?
Trial: NT$240 per hour for one day
Trial: NT$160 per hour for one week
On my very first day of the trial, the boss had the supervisor dump a pile of things on me. That would have been one thing, but I didn’t expect even the urgent tasks to be assigned to me. They called it a test of my abilities, but I had no idea what format they wanted. After I finished, the boss complained that there were too many images in the file (four images), and even berated the supervisor for not watching from the side. In the end, the boss decided I didn’t know how to do the work and angrily told me to leave. Excuse me? Was the test during the interview just a fake? They even said that working for them would mean having the good life—well, go eat your bananas and guavas! I didn’t say much; I collected my pay and left.
The director will give you the leftovers he hasn’t finished, and the hourly wage is 160.
Working hours are extremely unpredictable and depend on the director’s mood. No labor or health insurance; the director will use twisted reasoning to persuade you. On the very first day of the interview, you’ll be asked to help out for several hours. Self-centered and difficult to get along with.
