Pros

None; working a part-time job would be better than coming here.

Cons

1. The company is managed only by the owner and his obese wife. Every day, they just stay at the company playing games and using the computer, throwing everything to the employees (1–3 people) to do while they wait in the office to collect the money.

2. After working for a few months, you will start experiencing symptoms in your lower back and shoulders because all the water-delivery procedures are handled manually (except for the water-dispensing machine). You have to do everything yourself, from cleaning and filling the water to manually loading the bottled water onto the vehicle and making the deliveries.

3. The company has spoiled its customers. Employees are often required to carry 20-liter water containers in both hands, climb stairs, go down to basements, and move the containers into all kinds of corners or cluttered warehouses. Even in buildings without elevators, you still have to carry them to the top floor if necessary, because the customers will not do it, and the owner certainly will not come to help. There is no extra pay for climbing stairs—you might as well consider it charity work.

4. The 90-minute lunch break is often not available. Sometimes there is not even time to eat lunch. They say the workday ends at 5:30 p.m., but the earliest you can leave is 6:00 p.m. Of course, there is no overtime pay.

5. If you receive a ticket while making deliveries, have the vehicle towed, or get into a traffic accident, you have to absorb the cost yourself. The company will not help.

6. There is no year-end bonus and no bonuses for the three major festivals; almost none of the benefits you should have are provided. However, labor and health insurance are provided. Salaries start at NT$26,000 and top out at NT$30,000.

7. Under no circumstances should you say that you know plumbing or electrical work; otherwise, the maintenance, packaging, and installation of equipment will all be dumped on you. You will often have to travel all over Taiwan. The most outrageous example was being sent to Taipei in the morning and then being told to go to Pingtung in the afternoon, returning to the company after 10:00 p.m. Of course, there was no overtime pay.

8. Simply put, this is a company that follows a cost-down philosophy. Employees are merely consumables.
