The job title posted on the employment website was “Sales Assistant,” but after the actual interview, I found that the job responsibilities did not match at all. The interviewing supervisor said that, basically, the job involved using the phone to develop potential customers—so isn’t that telemarketing?! When I asked more in-depth questions about training, the answers were vague and ambiguous, which was very unprofessional. Anyone considering interviewing for this position should think twice. The manager who came out to conduct the interview afterward was even more unclear about the situation. They also asked me my zodiac sign, saying they wanted to understand my personality. I really want to know what that has to do with the job responsibilities, especially since they had not even looked at my résumé.
