Read the community guidelinesThe HR manager was nice.
I was a student intern in a school-industry cooperative program. When I first reported for work, the HR department did not even know which school I attended or what year I was in. After I finished filling out the forms, I was immediately taken to a position with an opening. I was given no training at all and was put straight to work manually. During the process, the team leader kept making things difficult and constantly rushing me to meet deadlines. Since it was a small factory, much of the equipment was located in the same building, making the overall environment relatively poor and noisy. At lunchtime, there was not even a place to sit, so we had to sit on the floor. When I first started, I was given only a small stool, with no room even to move my legs. They may have treated me as cheap labor rather than as a student who had come to intern.
