Pros

Punctual working hours. A simple, quiet environment. The boss is kind and straightforward. The workload is very light, and you may have nothing to do all day. During the three-month probation period, the salary is 22K + 1K perfect-attendance bonus; after three months, depending on performance, the basic salary is 26K + 1K perfect-attendance bonus.

Cons

This company is a family business. The boss is the manager, and the boss's wife is the supervisor. The office is very small, only about five ping in size. New employees' desks are directly in front of the air-conditioning outlet, with the air blowing straight at them. The boss's wife is prone to acting on emotion. She will just throw a presentation or video at you and expect you to know how to handle any problem that might arise. Then she keeps asking whether you have any questions. If you say you have none, she will criticize you for not knowing how to “not seek superficial understanding.” When you ask her questions, she will either say that you do not need to learn that yet or that it is very simple and you can look it up yourself without asking. She will also give you dirty looks. After you finish learning, you still have to give her a report, which she calls homework. On Lunar New Year's Eve, new employees are even required to scrub the floor by hand. People are treated unfairly: only long-term employees are allowed to watch movies, browse online shopping sites, and chat on the phone.

The coworkers are also problematic. When the sweeping-duty roster is posted, you never see anyone else sweeping, as if you were the only person in the office. Whenever the phone rings, they always dump it on the rookie to answer. If a customer asks for a specific coworker, they will just say, “You can handle it too, so why don't you answer?” When you genuinely encounter something you do not know how to handle and need to transfer the call to ask a coworker for help, you will still be nagged about how they already have so many things to do and now have to handle this too. Then afterward, the boss's wife will add insult to injury by saying that you did not learn properly and will again make you submit a report to her.

In short, if you are considering working there, make your own assessment. This company is very laid-back and may suit someone looking for an easy job, but it depends on whether you and the boss's wife are compatible. Otherwise, you will find out after joining.
