Pros

Throughout the interview, I kept hearing employees inside cursing in Taiwanese Hokkien.

Cons

The boss’s wife is a real bitch; this is a garbage dog company that wastes people’s time.

Cons

During the interview, they liked to talk nonsense and insult people. What does the author of a university textbook have to do with the job?

They told me to leave just because I wouldn’t disclose my parents’ occupations. Looking back, I should have punched you right then and there.

Pros

If you've worked at this company, you should be able to survive at any other company out there.

Cons

The company environment is the worst I've ever seen—dirty, chaotic, and filled with toxic substances. The general manager is the owner, the owner's wife is an assistant manager, and their two daughters are in sales. Every employee at this company complains about them.

Sorry for the lengthy text

The only thing I know is that the person who interviewed me was neither the boss nor the boss's wife, but an employee of the company.

At the very beginning of the interview, I was immediately asked to sing a song. Wait, didn't I come to apply for an assistant position? Why did it feel like they were selecting an idol?

Then they started asking me about history, simply because they said they had studied a little of it and wanted to see how much I had learned.

They said they had only studied a little, yet wanted to quiz me about it. What does that have to do with the job?

I had been unemployed for a while due to personal reasons. After asking what I had been doing, they directly told me I was so lucky. I didn't want to explain too much either.

Next, I was asked to introduce myself in English or sing a song. I was dumbfounded again. What kind of interview is this? Were they selecting an idol again?

I flatly refused. By this point, you can probably tell how absurd the interviewer I encountered was.

And it got even more absurd after that.

When the interviewer saw that I wasn't expressing myself much, they began to insult me, saying that this was a small company and could never hire a blank slate like me. (If that's the case, they shouldn't have invited me to interview in the first place.)

They said that the only company that might hire someone like me was Foxconn on the mainland, but that I would first have to undergo training and live crammed together with a group of Chinese people. They also said that Chinese people were vulgar and never bathed, especially those from the Northeast.

Honestly, that sentence really angered me. Putting other people down doesn't make you seem more noble, okay?

I said that I had previously worked in a first-tier-related industry and wasn't incapable of enduring hardship. The interviewer immediately burst out laughing and said, “So you slept with cows? Hahaha, you definitely wouldn't be able to stand it anyway!”

What could I even say to that?

In addition, they told me that this company was in the manufacturing industry, which I had never worked in, and asked whether I even understood what people in manufacturing did.

After I gave a general answer, they simply said, “I knew from the start that you didn't understand. You'd better go back and rely on your father, or find someone else to pull strings for you. No one hiring you is your problem, not anyone else's.”

However, the fact is that I had already found a job overseas and was only waiting for my visa to be approved. Since the review would take several months, I wanted to find a short-term job in the meantime.

I never expected to encounter such a bizarre interviewer. Did this company get the wrong person to interview me?

They also said that when they interviewed others in the past, they would simply give the candidate a topic and tell them to go onstage and speak, like presenting a thesis, and that what they had done to me today was already considered special.

Yes, truly extremely special.

At the end of the interview, they asked whether I had any questions for them.

I asked one question, and from beginning to end, that was probably the only answer they gave that was reasonably proper.

In short, in my eyes, this company's image has been seriously damaged. There's nothing more to say.
