Pros

Unexpectedly

Cons

The most outrageous company I have ever interviewed with. Several people interviewed me at the same time, which was very disrespectful to the interviewee. At the beginning, they kept talking about how great the company was and did not give me a proper opportunity to introduce myself. First, they asked me to complete a written test and then continued talking about how great the company was. Moreover, they had absolutely no programming background, yet expected to lead an IT team to develop systems, and they did not even have internet access. When they said that Java and JavaScript were the same programming language, the interviewee was too tired to bother explaining.

An engineer with two years of experience is offered only N+4K and is also required to work on-site. Of course, if you can accept the terms above, then there is nothing more to say. However, compared with the companies I have interviewed with, this was the one I found the least acceptable.

Pros

Punctual working hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

Cons

This company mainly handles military and government contracts.

Due to business requirements, the main group has been split into many small companies.

About 60% of the group’s members are high-ranking retired military personnel (the company mainly relies on connections to secure government contracts).

The owner of the parent group is extremely stingy. Every year, all subsidiaries’ earnings must be remitted back to the parent company, after which senior management decides how much to distribute as bonuses.

One subsidiary once earned tens of millions in a year, but ultimately each employee received only one month’s salary as a year-end bonus. The manager even said that everyone should weather the difficulties together.

The annual salary amounts to 12–13 months’ pay; receiving a 13th month is a matter of luck.

The pay is also extremely poor, unless you are a retired military officer who joined through the owner’s connections.

The retired military personnel at this company are also not short of money, since they already receive lifelong pensions.

The company as a whole lacks foresight and is extremely inept at budget control and cost calculation.

I strongly advise against working at this company, as it is not good for career development.
