Pros

About to be acquired by E.SUN, and looking forward to seeing whether E.SUN can improve the company culture by addressing the issues mentioned below regarding senior management.

Cons

1. A company that is Taiwanese at its core but presents an international exterior.

2. Since the CEO changed, the company culture has become very poor. Whether you can get things done is not important; ingratiating yourself with people and choosing the right faction are more important.

3. A certain female CXO is highly emotional and becomes extremely agitated over the slightest matter. She is also an extreme control freak with a very strong desire for control. As with the previous point, she does not care whether you can get things done; she only likes people she can control and people who will chat and joke around with her.

4. Performance evaluations do not actually assess your performance; they assess how senior executives perceive you. (Even when they are not your direct supervisors, they all give you a score based on their impression of you.)

5. The head of HR is not even familiar with the laws and regulations that someone in HR should know. He knows nothing and only tells his subordinates what to do. When his lack of expertise is pointed out, he becomes angry out of embarrassment and retaliates vindictively.

6. Think carefully before accepting a job in this kind of work environment.

Pros

At least they showed their true attitude during the interview rather than luring you in under false pretenses.

Cons

1. An on-site interview is required

2. The entire process felt more like a stress interview

3. The interviewer's mindset was extremely top-down; they communicated in a superior's tone even before you joined

4. The interviewer did not even introduce themselves, which is basic courtesy

5. They are extremely conservative about technology and explicitly stated that they would not use new technologies.
