Before the interview, they did not say that bringing a résumé was required. (Other companies I interviewed with previously would say whether one was required or not; companies that did not specify would print one.)
After the interview began, when they discovered that the interviewee had not brought a résumé, they started rattling off questions about work experience and education. Only a little was said about the job duties.
Manager Lai was very polite on the phone, but extremely vulgar face-to-face. As a manager and supervisor, having such poor emotional management—once you walk out the door, you and I are strangers—what does that say about the quality of this company? Ah! On 1111, they wrote, “Welcoming job seekers who want to learn a thing or two.” But when I went there, they criticized me, saying that with such good work experience and education, why did I have no life plan? With qualifications this good, I could save Taiwan! Is Manager Lai a hero-worshipper? He said that he had done poorly in school in the past but worked very hard to rise up, so is that why he started criticizing a stranger’s résumé like this? They also expected email replies in English, while the salary was only 26,000. Who is that offer intended for? Usually, jobs that require communicating with foreigners start at 28,000 or 30,000. The company is very small… They act incredibly smug just because they can work with brands such as Nike and Adidas.
