I don’t know why the previous reviews have all disappeared. Maybe the company is just very powerful and influential.
Here is a simple summary of the main points,
for everyone’s reference.
1. This is a family-owned business. The upper-level positions are held by various connected individuals. You don’t need ability to get ahead; you just need to stick close to key people and build good relationships.
2. Overtime is the norm, and not receiving overtime pay is also the norm. At most, you get a 100-dollar dinner allowance. Oh, sorry—it seems only R&D staff can apply for it. Everyone else can only get free instant noodles, and even those have to be registered for.
3. Stock dividends look attainable but are out of reach. The allocation method is arbitrarily decided by senior management, so this goes back to point one. I can’t say how much the family-related individuals receive.
4. Exploits lower-level employees. The company likes hiring fresh graduates because they are cheap and easy to use. The middle and upper levels are stagnant, with no room for advancement, and the pay is extremely stingy.
5. The RDVP is self-opinionated and thinks the whole world has to listen to him. Even when something is unrelated to his area of expertise, he still likes to intervene and express his opinions.
6. Human resources acts as management’s enforcer. There have been incidents of internal employees harassing female staff members—not just once—and each time the matter has been suppressed without being addressed.
