Cons

The company is controlled by the owner and his wife, and they often disagree and argue.

Basically, there are hardly any benefits.

Female employees: As soon as you join, the owner's wife will tell you that if you get pregnant, you will be asked to leave, because they do not provide maternity or parental leave.

Warehouse staff: Because the company is in Tamsui, warehouse staff have to ride a scooter to Tamsui in the morning to pick up the shipping documents, then ride back to the old warehouse in Tianmu to ship the orders. In fact, they could just install a computer in the warehouse and connect to the system, but the owners insist that you make the exhausting trip every morning to pick up the documents because they are afraid warehouse staff will use the internet for personal purposes. The company delivery truck is an old vehicle, and they use it to transport excessively heavy books. The owner and his wife even treat that delivery truck as a prized possession.

Sales staff: They have salespeople spend all day checking whether the books on bookstore shelves are arranged properly and whether inventory discrepancies are significant. They also have to travel to central and southern Taiwan, only to do the same thing. It is incredibly ridiculous. Their books are difficult to sell, yet the owner refuses to face reality and spends all day berating the sales staff for doing a poor job.

Moreover, the owner often suddenly comes up with excuses to dismiss people. For example, if a few books go missing, he accuses the warehouse staff of stealing them, and so on. With people constantly coming and going in the warehouse without any controls, isn't it normal for books to go missing?

The warehouse is already small and dirty, and there are often cockroaches and rats (because it is in an old apartment building on the ground floor). No matter how much you clean, it is still the same, but the owner's wife will blame you for not cleaning properly.

They are often sued by employees for violating the Labor Standards Act. So, anyone who sees this post and is looking for a job should think twice.
