If you’re not quick-witted, I don’t recommend applying for the store staff position. Although it appears to be a store staff role, in reality there aren’t many sales opportunities. Most of the time, you’ll be dealing with that outdated inventory management system. The experienced employees are too busy to teach you, and after teaching you a little, they’ll ask, “Are you coming in tomorrow?” It’s baffling. You’ll be left at a loss. One of the senior employees who trained me was very kind, but you’ll still feel pressured, as they expect you to get the hang of things within a few days. To be honest, it’s basically a sales assistant position, not a store staff role. The store is closed on Sundays; you have to work Saturdays, with days off scheduled on other days. It’s a family business, and the managers are all the boss’s children. The delivery and engineering departments may still be worth considering. For the store staff position, I suggest that only people who are quick-witted apply; otherwise, you’ll be very frustrated.
