The boss is highly volatile without warning and often takes out his bad mood or conflicts with his wife on employees, while expecting employees to be more understanding. Overtime does not comply with the Labor Standards Act, and no overtime pay is provided; instead, it is said to be for employees’ learning.
The colleagues are not bad.
1. The boss is a jerk and frequently “teaches” by berating people, shifting his own shortcomings onto employees. He often claims that “design is just like this” and considers himself a design professional, showing very little respect for the hard-working back-office staff. Every time we have to listen to his nonsense, we have to stand for over an hour.
2. The company environment is terrible. Rats and cockroaches pass through from time to time, and the boss’s wife does not care; she only manages her own area.
3. They often indirectly demand overtime, and even mock us for wasting the company’s electricity when we work overtime.
4. Although the job is not related to site operations, employees are pressured to go to worksites to “intern” or “learn” on-site construction, without being paid overtime.
5. Overtime is not paid.
