Read the community guidelinesThe overall salary and benefits are good. I think new hires start at around 32K, though I’ve forgotten exactly. Those with relevant experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, plumbing, electrical work, etc., start at 35K. With other allowances, the starting total is at least 38K. Once you become familiar with the work, you can earn around 40K or more. Most of the work consists mainly of inspections (there are usually 2–5 locations per day); repairs are only potentially required when a fault occurs. It feels somewhat like being a sales engineer! You need to know how to build relationships with customers! There also seems to be a fuel allowance, but vehicle wear and tear is your own responsibility!
The job is mainly field-based! There is no company vehicle, so the car gets a lot of wear and tear! Although there is an allowance, it is only enough for routine maintenance and not for unexpected breakdowns! So the salary looks high on paper! On paper! I’ve also heard that there are meetings every day!
Also, during the interview, the boss seemed somewhat arrogant and conceited! His attitude felt rather arrogant and self-important, but he seemed unaware of it! He also considers anyone over 30 to be middle-aged or elderly. His definition of “young people” differs greatly from the common definition, so anyone over 30 who goes for an interview will be dismissed or mocked—even if they have just turned 30!
