Pros

.

Cons

Position applied for: Logistics Administration / Assistant Unit

Company introduction: A small family-owned company,

with the department being a new department,

relatively immature and having a high turnover rate.

-

1. (Violation of the Labor Standards Act)

Overtime pay is not provided in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.

However, you must complete the day's work before you can leave,

and cannot simply clock out and leave the company when your scheduled hours end.

Although the position is considered part of a fixed-responsibility system, there is neither flexible working hours nor overtime pay.

-

2. (Violation of the Labor Standards Act)

Salary deductions for lateness are also not calculated in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.

The workday starts at 8:30 with no grace period;

being late between 8:31 and 9:00 results in a deduction of 200 as a coffee-bean contribution.

-

Supplement: Calculation of salary deductions for lateness under the Labor Standards Act (monthly salary calculation):

“Monthly salary ÷ 30 days ÷ 8 hours ÷ 60 minutes × the actual number of minutes late that month = the amount not paid for that month”

Assuming a salary of $38,000:

38000 ÷ 30 ÷ 8 ÷ 60 × 1 = 2.64 (dollars)

The salary deduction for lateness is not calculated proportionally according to the Labor Standards Act,

but instead uses a high fixed fine for each occurrence (under the name of a welfare fund or provident fund).

When converted, it is nearly 76 times higher than the salary deduction stipulated by law, which is highly unreasonable.

-

3. The company's overall systems and work methods are traditional and not digitized.

In some areas, there is no standardized work method or format,

and everyone has different habits, resulting in wasted time and effort in many situations.

-

4. The interviewer does not clearly explain the conditions of employment.

a. Being late results in a 200 coffee-bean contribution deduction; I only learned this by talking with my colleagues, as it was not mentioned during the interview.

b. A monthly meeting is held on the first Monday of every month, and the company uniform must be worn.

c. At the beginning of each month, the supervisor assigns colleagues to their respective cleaning areas for the entire month.

d. Employees must independently pack up and organize the trash in their own wastebaskets and put in new trash bags.

I believe these matters should be fully explained when introducing the position during the interview,

rather than only introducing the products sold by the company, the company's founding date, the required qualities, and so on.

-

5. There is no complete training plan.

Work responsibilities are taught by colleagues in the same department or by the supervisor,

but the training is incomplete and employees are expected to become proficient as quickly as possible.

-

For example: answering the phone

Employees are required to answer calls while they are still unfamiliar with the work,

without being taught in advance how to handle them.

When customers call, their tone may be somewhat urgent;

when facing both a new job and urgent customers,

it is difficult to understand why employees are expected to become proficient quickly without a complete training system.

-

Summary:

The company has a high turnover rate, and there are difficult customers and some difficult business partners,

there is no complete job training, the workplace is not digitized (e.g., paper-based leave requests),

and salaries are not paid in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.

Cons

Applied for a warehouse management position. The first interview seemed to be with a supervisor.

The second interview was with someone from the warehouse whose attitude was extremely poor.

Why say their attitude was extremely poor? They kept whining that working in our warehouse is really tough—extremely tough—and asking, “Can you handle it?”

Seeing that expression, of course I said nothing and immediately improved my prospects by getting the hell out of there!

Heh heh, you can tell just by seeing how often they post job openings on 104.

Pros

It looks quite large-scale, but the systems inside are worse than those at the company I left more than ten years ago after completing my military service.

The managers were all promoted from among the veteran salespeople.

However, those who neglected their primary duties still went to solicit old clients to earn pocket money, while the internal processes were unbearably poor.
