This page collects workplace experiences, questions and discussions submitted by users. Dates shown are submission dates, not periods of employment. Individual reports do not describe the entire company.
Read the community guidelinesThe only good thing is the colleagues, but they have all left.
1. The company has no systems in place and changes its policies constantly.
2. Employees discover as soon as they start that their salary is 1,000 less than what was discussed during the interview. When asked, the company says it is not because of the probationary period—and this is the case for everyone.
3. The company’s benefits are terrible. They originally promised benefits for the three major holidays, but there are not even gifts. They just say the company did not make money. Even the year-end bonus is only a small red envelope. As for taking annual leave, even when it is requested several months in advance, if an event happens to take place then, the boss will still keep making snide remarks about it.
4. The company says that overtime outside working hours will be compensated with time off, but the boss privately keeps brainwashing you, saying that young people should work harder and not take compensatory leave. If you do not follow his wishes, he keeps saying privately that you are overly concerned about counting hours, and ultimately holds a grudge against you.
5. There is a 1.5-hour lunch break. Even if you leave on time and return on time, you will be criticized. They say things like, “Don’t go out to eat the moment the bell rings; come back early.” Even leaving work on time gets you criticized, and then they are very unwilling to give you overtime hours?
6. The vice president loves bragging about how capable he is and making “I told you so” remarks. He also loves lecturing people about unimportant matters. He only says that you can speak your mind, but when you do, he feels that you are disrespecting him.
7. He loves patting female employees on the head, shoulders, and waist—physical contact that makes people uncomfortable. He also stands very close when speaking and sprays saliva. I have also heard that he says uncomfortable things to female employees, such as, “Your weight is just right now; you can’t gain any more.”
8. He loves telling employees to take good care of their health. On the surface it seems like concern, but in reality he dislikes employees taking leave. Whenever someone takes leave, he criticizes them for getting sick and lectures them for up to an hour.
9. None of the company employees were late this month, but one day a clock-in may not have registered, resulting in a late record. The boss’s son, who works in HR, only tells you that it cannot be changed and that there is no evidence. The company’s surveillance footage is kept for only 15 days and is useless for protecting employees. In the end, you lose your perfect-attendance bonus.
10. When an event is being held, if he does not like something, he immediately starts shouting and swearing, regardless of whether executives or guests are present. It is extremely classless. I don’t care, but doesn’t he feel that he is embarrassing the company?
11. Every time we ask the boss to review documents, he delays until the last minute, then scolds us for submitting them too late or for sending them out without giving him time to review them. Otherwise, he only looks at the parts he wants to see, and when problems arise, he just angrily berates us. If he insists on reviewing them personally, shouldn’t he know about any problems? He only makes “I told you so” remarks. We are already trying to solve the problems, while all he does at that moment is keep yelling at people.
12. The three employees remaining at the company are all brown-nosers with no real ability. Before leaving, I ranked a project and still came in last place—what a joke. They are also very good at pretending to be familiar with you and putting on a fake show of friendliness. They look polite, but are extremely affected.
13. All I can say is: Don’t go, don’t go. This is a family business, and the son is also useless and incapable of improving anything.
