Read the community guidelinesNo work pressure, easy to take leave, and there are no repercussions for slacking off.
1. Salary: Lower than in typical traditional industries. There are also many job grades, with a difference of approximately NT$300–500 between each grade. Team leaders have an average tenure of 8–20 years, while department managers have more than 20 years.
2. Promotion system: Imperfect. If you are not a relative of someone influential and do not curry favor or flatter others, but simply do your assigned work, you will advance one grade every two years. If you fall into the former categories, advancing three grades in one year or being directly promoted to a managerial position is possible.
3. Job duties: Departments are like the central government and local governments in relation to each other. Work must accommodate the processes of certain departments (P.S. Those departments also have better benefits than other departments). In addition, except for on-site production operators, employees in roles such as quality management, production management, administration, warehouse management, accounting and finance, and equipment maintenance must stay at the company to complete unfinished work as unpaid overtime if it is not completed during working hours.
4. The company’s equipment is outdated: The oldest equipment is approximately 50 years old, creating certain operational risks. The piping includes steam, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and sodium hydroxide lines, which occasionally leak, so safety precautions are necessary.
