Pros

After arriving at the company, first tell the receptionist.

Wait about 2–3 minutes, or a middle-aged woman may come down the stairs and take you upstairs to the office for the interview.

Upon entering, you will first be given a personnel information form, and she will say that she will return in 15 minutes.

There is a clock by the office entrance; she did not return until 22 minutes later.

When she returned, she immediately gave me a logic test to complete. It was timed, but she did not tell me that there was a time limit.

The questions were simple, but the logic was whatever she said it was. Even if you answered correctly, she would ask why you chose that answer.

After you explained your thinking, she would continue explaining her own logic and completely disregard the interviewee.

Next, she gave me a business card, which showed that the interviewer was Lin Fengqiu, the Deputy Sales Manager.

Then she asked extremely detailed questions about my résumé. To be frank, the way she asked was very offensive—almost like an interrogation.

Your blood type, current height, weight, the ages this year of everyone in your family, their jobs, their employers, and their positions.

These are protected by the Labor Standards Act and are unrelated to the interview, so you may leave them blank or decline to answer.

She would still pressure you to give the answers she wanted (which is illegal).

After the Deputy Sales Manager finished interrogating me, she asked the warehouse supervisor to come in.

The warehouse supervisor seemed to be there merely as a formality; a brief introduction to your work experience is sufficient.

Cons

Regarding the salary, the Deputy Sales Manager said that the figures were initially preset and that they would discuss them with upper management depending on the circumstances.

Salary structure: base salary + perfect-attendance bonus + meal allowance (60 per meal × 22 days)

28,000 + 1,000 + 1,320 = 30,320

It is already 2024, and the government allows a tax-exempt meal allowance of up to 3,000.

Whether it is 1,320 or 60 per meal, both are well worth criticizing.

This company is neither a publisher nor a bookstore; it can be understood as an intermediary that purchases goods from publishers and sells them to bookstores.

This is also a sunset industry, and this company is merely an intermediary. Overtime is mandatory time off in lieu, with no overtime pay (illegal).

Apart from a 90-minute lunch break, there are essentially no benefits.

If you are hired, they will ask you to discuss your start date and salary by phone.

Salary

During the probationary period: 29,000 + 1,000 + 1,320 = 31,320 − 2,000 (labor and health insurance) = 29,320

After passing probation: 30,000 + 1,000 + 1,320 = 32,320 − 2,000 (labor and health insurance) = 30,320

If you are a newcomer, I can tell you that when I worked in warehousing from 2016 to 2018, the minimum after labor and health insurance deductions was already around 31,000–32,000.

The salary she offered is lower than it was 6–8 years ago.

I do not recommend this company for experienced workers, and I recommend it even less for newcomers.
