Read the community guidelinesAre there currently any violations of the Labor Standards Act? I don't know—when they deducted unfounded amounts from our wages, maybe there were! See you at the Labor Bureau.
They lure you in with a high salary, but once you join, it’s hell. Everyone lines up to resign. Anyone who sees Hu耀 Investment Development Co., Ltd. should be careful.
Disadvantages
Think twice before applying.
The boss and the boss’s wife like to interfere in hotel affairs, but they don’t understand hotel operations.
The boss would rather overbook every day and then turn guests away than risk missing an opportunity to sell rooms that might possibly be canceled. Once, the front desk knew that the hotel was already fully booked and closed all rooms released online, but the boss reopened them all to sell more. This resulted in more than ten overbookings that day, a lot of walk-in guests being turned away, and substantial losses.
One day, the boss even said, “It’s fine to overbook and turn the guests away!” (Black person confused meme ❓)
Then the boss’s wife informed everyone about the overbookings via a Line group message. She claimed that the overbookings were caused by the front desk not monitoring online reservations, said they would investigate orders from within the previous seven days, and demanded that the front desk pay the related costs.
(It was clearly her husband’s problem, yet the front desk had to bear the responsibility? Very clever.)
Also, they like to communicate information via Line, including asking the front desk to make reservations, even though phones can’t really be used during working hours (?). And the front desk is busy nonstop. On another day when there were overbookings, a front-desk employee failed to update an order passed down by the boss’s wife. She didn’t follow up on the order either, causing two fewer rooms to be booked for her that day. She directly scolded the employee on Line and demanded that she be responsible for the compensation for the guests who had to be turned away.
Guests often complained about mosquitoes in their rooms. The entire company had only two electric mosquito repellent units, so the team leader bought three more for guests and submitted a reimbursement request. The boss refused to reimburse it? We did everything we could to prevent complaints, and yet you keep pushing the blame onto the front desk? What is this supposed to be?
*As an aside, many new employees were driven away by the housekeeping team leader and the accountant. The housekeeping staff liked to yell at people arbitrarily, and because new employees were unfamiliar with the system, the accountant would scold them in the group chat whenever they made a mistake. You would see Line messages before even starting work, and your mood would immediately be ruined. They treated your personal Line account as a work tool.
