The Taiwanese staff dormitory in Zhejiang keeps a bunch of animals. The two dogs smell very strongly, run around the dormitory, and even come into the rooms. The cleaning auntie says it’s fine, but it’s not fine with me. I’ve heard they also keep birds and squirrels. I really don’t know why just one or two Taiwanese staff members and the cleaning auntie are living here and keeping all these animals. An older Taiwanese staff member smokes directly in the office during work. I haven’t seen anyone smoke indoors for a long time, let alone inside an office—and he’s Taiwanese, too. I’m speechless. When asked not to smoke in public areas, he said it was difficult. In conclusion, people who like living with animals and smoking at work can come here. I couldn’t stay.
