The manager of one department has some issues. During internal meetings, they constantly vape, blowing clouds of vapor directly at team members, and their everyday remarks reveal strong biases against women and people of certain nationalities. They hire people without a product background but are unwilling to spend time teaching them about the product. After joining, there is a high chance of encountering many customer complaints that have been left unresolved for a long time. These issues are repeatedly highlighted in weekly internal meetings, while the manager keeps evading questions when asked about how they were handled in the past.
The manager is very good at passing emails and work off to others. Discussing issues with them does not lead to any useful solutions; they would rather have you tell them how the matter should be handled. People without substantial experience handling customer complaints may find this very difficult.
